The call for work for this exhibit was about celebrating contemporary realism...figurative and narrative paintings through which artists give shape and character to the stories and people of our lives. Exhibiting artists captured the essence of the human form and communicated compelling stories through their art, inviting viewers to discover or imagine the backstories of the characters or the worlds they inhabit.
