Adult Portraiture Class with Mike Parisi |

Learn to draw a portrait from start to finish working in any medium! Students will learn to construct the form from both observation and pictures. All skill levels and mediums welcome! Materials not included in course fee. Bring 11 x 14 drawing pad, soft pencil (#0-#1) ,charcoal pencil & kneaded eraser to 1st class. This class is for adults ages 17 and up.
Artist Michael Parisi’s work has been shown in galleries across L.I. His commissioned portraits (oils, pastel and charcoal) can be found in homes and businesses throughout the metropolitan area. Don’t miss an opportunity to learn from this talented artist!

Figure Workshop with Jacqueline Gelfuso
This workshop is for beginner and intermediate skill levels or simply for artists who would like to improve their figure drawing skills. Beginner to intermediate students will be introduced to the posed figure, instructed on form, anatomy, drawing and measuring techniques. Intermediate students will hone their skills and become more comfortable with the figure in general. Students will learn to use line like an old master, light and shade like Caravaggio, and create dramatic and dynamic structure like Michelangelo. Students are responsible for bringing their own materials. Recommended media includes charcoal/drawing paper, vine/willow charcoal, compressed charcoal, conte crayon, and/or graphite.
